Nicola played provincial netball from the age of 13 and almost missed making it into the Baby Proteas as she fell ill on the final day of the trials. In a very lucky twist of fate, she was asked to fill-in at the last moment. She is thrilled to be playing her first Netball World Cup on home ground, and have her grandparents there to support her.
